Comite Civico del Valle established the Environmental Health Leadership Summit in 2007 to bring together residents, educators, youth and community leaders, health care providers, and environmental justice advocates for the purpose of discussing important environmental health concerns.
The annual summit strives to raise awareness about environmental justice issues, present new data and research, and identify key priorities. The summit agenda consists of a keynote speaker as well as workshops on many different topics related to empowering citizens with tools to help them effectively interact with their local and state representatives and to engage in the public process.

For the sixth year, the Desert Protective Council is proud to support the Annual Summit with $1500.00 toward the expenses of putting on this conference.
